The Dancing Cookie
This year, students were introduced to a variety of animation and 3D modeling software in 3D Graphics. They learnt to make characters from scratch in a 3D environment using the software program Blender and how to animate the characters with different techniques.
One of the best animations of the year was created by Musa Najam-ud-din in grade 9 who developed an animation called, "The Dancing Cookie". Musa modeled the cookie in Blender and used armatures and many other techniques to create his project. Please feel free to view his masterpiece below. Enjoy!

Grade 1 celebrated the Korean Lunar New Year on January 23rd. The Korean moms prepared Duk Gook, a special rice cake soup. Delicious! Jeong Been Lee, Andrew Choi and Seoyoon Lee wore their traditional costumes. A great day had by all.

A wonderful day was had by all at the recent Pakistan Culture Day on Tuesday, November 15th. Most students and staff dressed in traditional clothes and greatly enjoyed the festivities including the Desi Dance Competition and Mehndi.
On Tuesday, November 1st 2011, grades 6 and 8 performed two plays each, based in ancient times. Grade 8 productions were "Casey at the Bat:" (based in the USA in the 1800's) and "Life in Ancient Western Hemisphere" (the Olmec Civilization). Grade 6 peformed "Humans and Gods in Mesopotamia" and "Sargon's Rule and Hammurabi's Code".
On Saturday, October 29th, Elementary held their Halloween Carnival amidst a crowd of witches, wizards, ghosts and gouls. A wonderful day was had by all!
On Tuesday, October 25th at 10:00 in the TA Building, grade 3 hosted a beautiful musical for the assembly with a performance of "A Little Magic Goes the Wrong Way". During the Buffs Block on Tuesday, October 18th, grade 7 performed 2 amazing plays about ancient China. The first play was called The Qin Dynasty and the second play was titled A Tale of Two Chinas.
